We are working with a leading global commodities company who is looking for an innovative and motivated individual to join its high performing treasury team in London.

Role Description:

You will work closely with the Treasury function, engaging in treasury operations, cash management, and group funding activities. This position offers a unique opportunity to gain insights into the group’s liquidity, financing, and financial risk management, as well as exposure to diverse business developments across the wider organization.

As part of the Treasury Finance team, you will be responsible for accounting, reporting, and control support for external finance debt, financial derivatives, centrally held cash, and internal funding structures. Among other things, you will:

·       Provide transactional support for treasury activities, including maintaining and reconciling accounting ledgers.

·       Prepare and submit quarterly results for group reporting consolidation, ensuring compliance with relevant group requirements and timetables.

·       Contribute to process improvement initiatives, collaborating with team members to identify opportunities and implement efficiencies.

·       Ensure understanding and application of IFRS accounting treatments for financial instruments and hedge accounting.

·       Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, demonstrating strong interpersonal skills and effective communication.

 

Person specification:

·       Qualified accountant (ACCA or equivalent) with 1-2 years post qualification experience ideally within accounting or treasury.

·       Understanding of IFRS accounting treatments for financial instruments and hedge accounting.

·       Familiarity with Treasury processes and systems.

·       Experience with project work and process improvement initiatives.

·       Treasury experience (from a bank, commodities company or other) is desirable but not required.
