A multinational Insurance company is seeking an M&A Analyst to join its London office full-time. You will be part of an international team split between the US and Europe. If you are an Analyst candidate from a strong financial analysis background, this is a great opportunity! We can also consider ACA/ACCA candidates with an audit background.

The role & responsibilities

• Conduct background research on the parties to a particular transaction and the industries in which they operate.
• Perform project-specific financial and risk analysis — with significant emphasis on planning
• Perform data analysis and prepare financial models.
• Present recommendations for resolving more complex situations
• Interact with clients, client advisors, brokers and other deal professionals.

What we are looking for

• Experience in an M&A role within financial services or experiences working with a large consultancy in a position such as audit or due diligence
• Experience within corporate finance or modelling is a strong plus.
• Expertise in P&L statements
• A collaborative approach to problem-solving
• Strong analytical and prioritization skills
• Ability to be a self-starter and work independently

Preferred skills and qualifications

• ACA or ACCA-qualified (or equivalent)
• Familiarity with accounting software such as QuickBooks
• Strong understanding of how insurance/reinsurance companies operate
• Good written and oral communication skills.
